  • How does the challenge work?
You’ll receive a brief outlining a real-world challenge faced by a local business. Your task is to research, brainstorm, and pitch a solution — either via a recorded or live presentation.
  • Is this competition only available to students in Princeton?
Nope! We invite students from all over the world to compete!
  • Is it free to join?
    Yes!
  • Is this virtual or in-person?
This is a fully virtual opportunity!
  • How old do I have to be to compete?
Any student from Kindergarten to 12th Grade is welcome to compete! You will be judged only in your age category. (K-2, 2-6, 6-8, 9-12)
  • What date is the competition?
Whenever you want! When you register, you will get a form about your schedule conflicts. We adapt to each competitor's schedule. You can also submit a recorded pitch if you can not pitch live.
  • Can I sign up with friends?
Yes! You can pitch in a team of up to three people!
  • How are pitches judged?
Judges will evaluate pitches based on creativity, feasibility, communication, and overall impact. Bonus points for sustainability and community focus!
  • How long should my pitch be?
Pitches should be 6–8 minutes long, whether live or recorded.
  • What is the "recorded pitch" option?
If you are unable to present your pitch live for any reason, you can opt for an asynchronous pitch. You will record your pitch by yourself and send it to us via email. We always recommend our students to opt for the live pitch because you will have the opportunity to speak face-to-face with industry professionals and will likely gain more points on the rubric!
  • How do I get mentored?
You will be paired with an experienced high school upperclassman or college student who can support you with your questions as you assemble your pitch deck!
  • How will I connect with industry professionals?
They will judge you! You'll receive valuable feedback from them and get to ask them your questions.
  • What are the prizes?
In each age category, there will be 1-3 winners (depending on the size of the competitor pool) 1st place: $50 2nd place: $25 3rd place: $15
